Our Foundation
"Built by the Rwandan diaspora, open to everyone in Poland!"
Icyeza Foundation supports Rwandan and African cultural life across Poland. What began in 2022 as a small group of Rwandan students sharing dance in Warsaw has grown into a foundation running cultural education, youth mentorship, and public performance programmes , with Ballet Icyeza Polska as its flagship.
We work alongside embassies, cultural centres and community groups so that heritage isn’t just remembered , it’s lived, performed, and passed on to the next generation.

Heritage Rhythms
Where heritage dances anew
Ballet Icyeza Polska is a traditional dance troop founded by young Rwandans living in Poland. Our main purpose is to share and spread the rich Rwandan and African culture.
The ballet started in November 2022 with mainly 10 individuals; we have since expanded to 30 active members and growing. We participate in local Polish and international community events, national and international festivals, as well as African diaspora events. We also aim to organize impactful community events.
